EveryParent Privacy Policy

Children’s Services Council of Palm Beach County (“CSC”) operates the EveryParent mobile App (the "Application"). This Policy informs you of how CSC will collect, use, and disclose Personal Information it receives from users of the Application.

CSC uses information provided by you only for providing information and marketing free services to you and for operating, maintain, and improving the Application. By using the Application, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy, which can also be found at [email protected]. 

Information Collection and Use                                                        

While using CSC’s Application, we may ask you to provide CSC with certain personally-identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you. Personally-identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, email address, your password for the Application and, if your desire, your photo.  Additionally, the following information regarding your child/children may be provided: first name, gender (optional), date of birth/due date, and your relationship with the child (e.g. parent, guardian, grandparent, etc.)  You may also use the Application to upload photos and other information.  Together, all of this information will be referenced in this Policy as Personal Information.

CSC discloses Personal Information only to those of its employees and contractors that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on CSC’s behalf or to provide services available from or through CSC, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others.  Some of those employees and contractor’s organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using the Application, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.  CSC will not rent or sell Personal Information to anyone.  Other than to its employees and contractors, as described above, CSC discloses Personal Information only when required to do so by law, or when CSC believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of CSC, third parties or the public at large.   

It may be necessary for CSC, its employees or contractors working on behalf of CSC to access the Application using your subscriber information to provide you with support or to perform certain maintenance tasks.  This access happens on an as-needed basis only.  

Log Data

Like many Application operators, CSC collects information that your browser sends whenever you visit CSC’s Application ("Log Data").

This Log Data may include information such as your device’s Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser version, the pages of CSC’s Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics.

In addition, CSC may use third party services such as Google Analytics that collect, monitor and analyze this information for demographics and internal reporting. 

Google Analytics

Some or all of the EveryParent Site makes use of Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting. The EveryParent Site may also make use of other Google Analytics for Display Advertising features, including Remarketing, Google Display Network Impression Reporting and/or the DoubleClick Campaign Manager integration. We are required by Google to disclose the following information to you in our Privacy Statement in connection with our use of any Google Analytics for Display Advertising features on the EveryParent Site:

  • You may opt out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising or customize Google Display Network ads by using the Google Ads Settings page. You may also prevent your data from being collected and used by Google Analytics by opting out through the use of the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • If the EveryParent Site makes use of the Google Analytics for Display Advertising Remarketing feature, CSC will use such Remarketing feature to advertise online and third party vendors, including Google, may show EveryParent ads on sites across the Internet.
  • CSC and third party vendors, including Google, may use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookies) and third party cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) together to (a) inform, optimize and serve ads based on a user’s past visits to the EveryParent Site, and/or (b) report how your ad impressions, other uses of ad services, and interactions with these ad impressions and ad services are related to visits to the EveryParent Site. 
  • Data from Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting may be utilized by CSC to help recognize and understand user preferences, to make improvements to the EveryParent Site, to choose content and advertising to display to you, and for other business purposes that will allow CSC to better serve you. 

Communications

CSC may use your Personal Information to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information about CSC’s services or other information that you may find of interest.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web Application and stored on your phone.

Like many Applications, CSC uses "cookies" to collect information. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of CSC’s Application.

Security

The security of your Personal Information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While CSC strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, CSC cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Changes To This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is effective as of April 19, 2017 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.

CSC reserves the right to update or change this Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the Service after CSC posts any modifications to the Privacy Policy on this page will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Privacy Policy.

If CSC makes any material changes to this Privacy Policy, CSC will notify you by placing a prominent notice on this page.
